Rain to come today?

A trough just offshore - but will it move onshore...an what that means if it does.

A quick post – we have onshore winds and a trough just offshore. That trough can be seen in the latest radar image below – I have highlighted it in yellow.

Most models show us only getting light falls this afternoon and overnight – however there is a chance that the trough could move onshore later today. If it does we’ll see quite an increase in showers and rain periods -and we can see big falls in these situations if a trough does end up overland…so worth keeping an eye on the radar over the next 24 hours. We could end up with very little but also just a chance we’ll see much more, with river rises possible if that happens.

Beyond that we’ll see some showers and some sunshine…great growing weather! Time for some solidary gardening…
