With clear skies across much of Aus it’s heating up quickly. We’ve also got a drier couple of weeks with us as well…but the good news is that this should be a drier spell within a wetter season rather than anything more significant.
The heat is moving across from the west – this is how the temperature anomalies look for the weekend into early next week. You can see the heat move in before a change, likely Tuesday, pushes it away:
On the ground that means some hotter temperatures, with the peak on Monday. Here’s the EC forecast top temp for the day:
Once that heat moves away it will cool down a little, but with the likelihood of more heat building again later in the period.
As far as rain goes – not much in the valleys over the coming 10 days, but a higher chance of some showers and storms over the hills. Here’s the 10 day rain forecast:
The good news – beyond the 10 days there are signs it could well get wetter again. I’ll post more on that as we get closer. Until then, welcome to summer!
